Hello! My name is Anita and I am incredibly excited to be Embark’s new Food System Change Coordinator. Embark does an amazing job in addressing food insecurity issues and sharing knowledge on sustainable approaches to our food system, which is something I would like to explore more of while taking on this role.

As a Resource and Environmental Management student, also pursuing a minor in Indigenous Studies, I am interested in solving the inequalities and geographic restrictions that prohibit the access to affordable healthy foods in multiple communities. Additionally, I think it is important to deconstruct the misconceptions around plant-based diets and sustainable food systems.

Aside from all these things I am passionate about, I love to hike, paddle, bullet journal, and occasionally bake vegan treats.
