Chat cooking, culture, and food justice through Community Kitchen

Embark Sustainability’s

Community Kitchen

A free, low-barrier gathering space where students come together to cook and enjoy a vegetarian or plant-based meal. Each Community Kitchen has a unique theme that encourages participants to explore and reflect on different food cultures and barriers to food justice.

Community Kitchens are built to nurture conversations about food through the lens of justice, culture, and shared experience. Plus, many recipes integrate fresh organic produce from our Learning Gardens, connecting our meals and discussions back to food sovereignty and just
food systems.

Community Kitchens are a fantastic way to meet many great people that are very open and welcoming. By the end of the day, you get to eat a meal together while bonding.
