Community Kitchen: Thinking Farm to Fork

Date & Time

Thu, May 16, 2024
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM PDT

Location

SUB Community Kitchen, room #2125 – SFU Burnaby

In partnership with SFU Fairtrade, join us for an immersive journey into German cuisine and the rights of farmers and food growers. Through hands-on cooking and engaging discussions, we’ll highlight the importance of supporting local farmers and fostering meaningful relationships between producers and consumers.

We’ll be making:

  • Main dish: Vegetarian spaetzle (typically a type of egg noodle) with mushroom sauce
  • Salad: Beet & apple salad
  • Dessert: Black forest cake

All recipes have vegan alternatives.

Whether you’re a seasoned chef or new to the kitchen, all are welcome! This event is first-come first-serve until we reach capacity, so we encourage you to register and arrive 10 minutes early. Thanks and see you there!✨
