Welcome Teah, our new Climate Action Coordinator
Hi everyone! I’m Téah and I could not be more stoked to start my role at Embark as Climate Action Coordinator! I look forward to working with other volunteers on initiatives towards a more sustainable future for our campus and our city.
Completing a Political Science minor and seeing the most recent developments in the climate movement being led by Indigenous groups and young people, I realized that societal systems, political institutions and policies have a huge impact on an equitable and sustainable future for our planet and was inspired to take action in a tangible way.
Prior to this role, I volunteered with Embark through the Food Rescue program, where Embark provided me a concrete way to lead in sustainability initiatives and to learn lots about food systems – everything from food production to food distribution.
In my free time, you can find me making music, listening to music, and exploring BC’s beautiful coast and Vancouver’s wonderful food scene.
