Hi! My name is Shabnam and I am excited to start my role at Embark as the Seed Fund Coordinator! As a Health Sciences student, I am interested in social sustainability where we are consciously making sustainable decisions for future generations to have enough resources in order to keep families and communities healthy and secure. Moreover, I believe universal human rights and basic necessities should be attainable by all people.

I look forward to working with the Radius Co-Chair and Embark team to provide financial support to SFU students for projects that make a difference in the community and that also have a positive social, economic, or environmental impact.

In my spare time, you can find me discovering new coffee shops (pre-COVID), going on hikes, and listening to crime podcasts – my favorite is Serial Season 1!
