SUMMARY:Virtual Sustainability Careers Night: Resilient Futures
DESCRIPTION:Join Embark Sustainability in collaboration with CityStudio Vancouver\, Kwantlen Student Association\, UBC Climate Hub and the UBC Sustainability Ambassadors this March for a sustainability-themed career night! This event will showcase the stories of outstanding professionals working on creating a more just\, sustainable and resilient world. We’ll look at how they’re contributing to a just recovery post-pandemic through their different career paths\, and how you can too. The goal of this night is to give you a taste of the types of career opportunities that exist and the ways in which we can rebuild our communities.  \nThis event will consist of fast-paced presentations by seven sustainability/climate leaders who work in a range of positions. Each speaker will discuss their journey to reach their current role\, along with barriers they overcame along the way. They will also speak about where they see their role in rebuilding and recovering in our communities beyond the pandemic and provide recommendations for participants who are looking to start their careers in sustainability.
