SUMMARY:Embark's Community Kitchen: A Flavourful Evening
DESCRIPTION:Community Kitchens are a low-barrier gathering space where SFU students come together to cook and enjoy a four-course vegetarian or plant-based meal over a three-hour period. Join us for the last Community Kitchen at the Women’s Centre July 25th\, before they move into the new SUB building. Read below on this month’s facilitator.\n\nPaola Quiros\, SFSS Women’s Centre Coordinator\, will bring us into a new exploration of Latin American flavours. Aside from being the head of the SFSS Women’s Centre\, Paola has been cooking since an early age\, and at one moment she considered becoming a chef. She celebrates life and the Doña’s (matriarchs) who have taught her unforgettable and tasty recipes. While Latin America is a vast\, culture-rich land\, and it would be impossible to finish this journey in one session\, but Paola will make sure to pique your curiosity about Latin American cuisine when exploring the importance of ingredients and flavours in traditional dishes of Latinx people.\n\nRSPV here \n\n\n\nAcknowledgments\nThis event is being hosted on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. In particular\, this includes the land of the Tsleil-Waututh\, Musqueam\, Skwxwú7mesh\, and Kwikwetlem nations where we work\, live\, and play.\n\n\nAccessibility\nThe Women’s Centre has opened up their lounge (TC 3013) to all genders for this Community Kitchen.
