DESCRIPTION:Dear attendees\, \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nEmbark Sustainability and CityStudio Vancouver have decided to cancel Sustainability Career Night due to concerns around COVID-19. We are committed to the health and safety of all attendees and have been attentively watching the current situation to ensure the wellbeing of our students and alumni. \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nWe hope that you will be able to join us in the future\, including our career night in the fall semester. \n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nThank you\, stay safe\, and keep up the hand washing! \n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for an evening where we’ll have a deeper look at the intersection of business and sustainability.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nGet ready to explore the Business of Sustainability! This time we’re bringing outstanding professionals working in sustainable business to showcase their stories on how we can integrate sustainability into different business career paths. \nThis event is to give you\, as a student\, a taste of the types of career paths out there that could affect positive change for our communities. Expect an evening of inspiring stories from outstanding professionals AND you’ll have an opportunity to network\, and dive into deeper meaningful dialogue as you seek answers to your sustainable career questions. \nLight snacks will be provided. RSVP required! \nCareer Night is an opportunity for students from SFU & CityStudio Alumni* to learn from professionals championing sustainability in various fields. Speakers will share their innovative journeys followed by a space for networking and for students to find answers to their career-related questions. \n*Must present a valid BC post-secondary student ID. \nAGENDA \n6:00 pm – Doors open \n6:30 pm – Presentations by industry professionals \n7:45 pm – Break out sessions (structured networking) \nSPEAKERS – Confirmed so far \nKrista Loewen\, Community Investment Associate at Vancity Credit Union \nACCESSIBILITY & VENUE DETAILS \nThis event is taking place at CityStudio Vancouver. The venue is a short 7-minute walk from the Olympic Village Canada Line Skytrain station (below the Cambie bridge). We strongly encourage that participants take public transit and bike racks are available at the venue.
