DESCRIPTION:Engaging students in interesting discussions on sustainable food systems while eating a free healthy salad. \nEmbark is launching a new project called Mix ‘n Munch. A social gathering where you’ll meet curious sustainability peers while learning about plant-based meal options\, the practice of gardening\, and dive deeper into what a sustainable food system entails. \nAnd the coolest part – all of this goes down as you’re munching on a free healthy salad made with produce from our learning garden. \nJoin our pilot event and make this a regular thing at SFU Surrey Campus! We hope to see you there. \nAcknowledgments\nThis event is being hosted on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. In particular\, this includes the land of the Tsleil-Waututh\, Musqueam\, Skwxwú7mesh\, and Kwikwetlem nations where we work\, live\, and play. \nAccessibility\nThe SFU Surrey Campus student lounge is wheelchair accessible. \nEmbark events are free and open to Embark members which includes Simon Fraser University undergraduate and graduate students\, as well as Embark Associate Members.
