DESCRIPTION:Do YOU want to be a part of Embark’s Board of Directors? \nEmbark’s elected Board Directors have the privilege of representing the society’s 35\,000+ undergraduate and graduate student members\, to ensure the work and mission of the organization are in alignment with the sustainability interests of their peers. \nThe Board works collaboratively to govern the nonprofit\, which includes reviewing and approving financial statements\, developing and updating organizational policies\, and ensuring good relations with the SFU student community\, among other responsibilities. \nInterested candidates must attend one 20 minute Board Info Session\, or set up a call with Embark’s Board Chair (chair@embarksustainability.org). See below for info session details: \nTuesday\, February 9th at 5:30pm \nWednesday\, February 10th at 5:30pm \nThursday\, February 11th at 1pm \nRSVP for an Info Session here\, and check out Embark’s website https://www.embarksustainability.org/board-member-recruitment/ to learn more about being a Board member – including what positions are available! \n. \n. \nHow to Apply to become a Board Member \n1. Attend a [20 minute] virtual Board Info Session. You have to attend one info session to be considered as an applicant. \n2.
