Major public institutions are in a unique position to be leaders in climate action. We are building a better, low-carbon future by working with the university to reduce its emissions and shift its investments away from fossil fuels.
We believe major strides can be made in terms of how people get around. That's why we are working tirelessly with the university, businesses, TransLink, and local politicians to expand cycling infrastructure, offer car share services at SFU, and improve public transportation.
Agriculture is one of the largest contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions – yet we waste nearly half the food we produce, and can't get it to those who need it. We are working to transform our food systems by operating a Learning Garden, Community Kitchen events, a Food Rescue Program, and more.
We collaborate with students, staff, faculty, and community partners in our work towards building a sustainable future.
